The Festival of Lights was a scream! It was a beautiful warmish night in Ashland last night, the rain stopped just in time for the Ashland Festival of Lights celebrations! The event started early in the afternoon with SOU dancers, Rogue Valley Peace Choir, the Camelot Theater Company performance,  followed by the beloved tree lighting ceremony! The whole town lit up, the buildings downtown were all glowing and the mood was fantastic! The crescendo was watching Greg Capp perform all my favorite Christmas carols in a live performance on the Plaza. It really got me in the mood for Christmas with all the children sitting on their father’s shoulders, swaying to the music. There was a wonderful elderly lady in a wheelchair next to me, all dressed up in Christmas colors, tapping and swinging along with me. I must say, as it was our first Festival of Lights in Ashland for the Bayberry Inn bunch, it really made me proud to be a member of this community. The whole town was out and it just felt like home! Such a beautiful event! It is well worth booking a trip out here to partake in this festive event!
